Glass

The glass is shattered on the floor
I tried to fix it but broke it more
all I'm left with is cuts on my fingers now
Wish we could put it back together but we don't know how
You used to say you couldn't stand being without me
Now you tell me you can't stand being around me
These words have run through my mind over and over since spoken
The glass is long gone broken
